“I went for my first ever tattoo this week at Modern electric and as this was my first time I had no idea what to expect. I was greeted by a really friendly team when I got there and was made to feel very welcome. I had a fine line tattoo booked with Beth, who greeted me and showed me the design that was even better than I imagined. She explained the process to me and was overall brilliant. The atmosphere in there is really relaxed and friendly and I couldn’t recommend them any more, I will be going back there in the future!

“Having been tattooed here now for the forth time, I have nothing but positive feedback. The service especially now in the covid 19 era was spot on. Being in for a day sitting you interact with everyone in the studio and all make you feel at ease. Would recommend for sure and will certainly be back.

“After waiting 4 years to find 'the' artist I saw Paul's banner at a tattoo convention. Booked in, and couldn't have received better artwork, from the most genuine, interesting guy I have ever met, Mr. Paul Talbot. I'm so glad I waited so long for my first - he is simply a genius. The shop is so welcoming and relaxing - all staff are incredible. I therefore returned for my second, and need my third.......my only gripe is he isn't nearer!!! Get booked in, it's worth the wait, 10 fold.

“Had my conch pierced by Chel. I'm over the moon with it. Chel was super friendly and caring. I mentioned to her that I’m a bit of a wimp with pain and she took the time to talk through each step and reassured me throughout. I’ll be back for more definitely. “A friend recommend here for a piercing,so I booked my son & daughter in for their first ear lobe piercing. Paid our deposit to secure our booking,filled in our consent form day before the piercing. Tattoo shop was nicely decorated & very clean. When we arrived we was greeted by Dexter the friendliest dog. Chel was very professional & answered any questions we had,kept us informed throughout the whole process. My daughter wants more piercings & we will definitely return for Chel to do them. “The last time I had a tattoo Beth wouldn’t have even been born! But don’t let her youth fool you - Beth is a highly talented tattooist. She has the maturity and wisdom to know which commissions compliment her art style and which do not.
I’ve been wanting to get this piece done for a long time. It’s very personal to me and I wanted to be sure that I found the right artist. Beth did an amazing job and I can’t wait to see the piece fully healed.
She also had a great manner and I was calm and relaxed throughout the 3 hour session. Seeing me on a Sunday was also incredibly accommodating. I’m already planning a second complimentary design for Beth to carry out and I’m popping back in soon to finish off some shading on this design.
Would also like to say how impressed I was with the cleanliness, decor and layout of Modern Electric. It’s great to support this local independent business after what has surely been a challenging through months for their industry.

“My 7 year old daughter got her ears pierced here and Chel was amazing. She was even kind enough to help us out 3 days later when my daughter lost and earring and we weren't able to get it back. She sorted it out in no time. She even pierced the ear of the Teddy she'd bought with her to help her feel more at ease. 10/10

“I go and see Chel regularly for my tattoo removal treatment. Chel is very professional, friendly and puts you at ease. She won't even entertain treatment before she's gone through every detail to ensure you don't have any regrets when starting the process. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
I have also had a number of piercings with Chel and even took my best friends daughter to have her ears pierced too. She's brilliant with the kids to make sure they know what's going to happen and makes it a really pleasant experience for them.
Don't go to anyone that pierces you with a gun or to someone who will tell you laser treatment will be a short process. It's all dependent on your body and how it responds to treatment. Go and see her - you won't be disappointed. Her prices are very reasonable and she has a beautiful selection of jewellery.

“Me and all my friends (7 of us) have been to modern electric to receive tattoos, mostly from Beth, I cannot believe the amount of professionalism compared to other studios and such reasonable prices, Beth and all the other artists are so talented and I will not be going anywhere else in the future! Aswell as this, Chel has been my piercer for years (has done 5 so far) and I’ve never felt so comfortable and trusting, she takes her time and shows a selection of jewellery to make sure her clients are 100% happy and even changed my jewellery for free when I was having trouble, I love going to see chel for a new piercing every now and then, I cannot recommend this studio enough, everyone is so friendly and it’s such a well rounded place full of talent, Thankyou so much guys!
